Partnerships and Engagement

The Government of Canada values the traditional knowledge and expertise of Indigenous peoples and coastal communities in protecting Canada’s coasts. We are increasing participation of Indigenous peoples, coastal communities and women in marine safety by providing new training opportunities, partnering on new marine safety initiatives, and including Indigenous traditional knowledge in decision making.
